Wessex Contest 2011

On Saturday 26th November, we went down to Weymouth for the Wessex Association Contest.
The band played Variations on ‘Laudate Dominum’ by Edward Gregson, and made a good performance, conducted by Musical Director Dave Walker.
We were placed 2nd in the Second Section, and came away a trophy for the fourth successive year!
It was pleasing to see that there were 18 other bands competing, and providing some high quality competition, and so the future for the Wessex Association looks promising.
